Since the 70’s Jansen-Dongen has been expert in potatoes, onions, carrots and organic fruit and vegetable products. From the very beginning, our focus has been on the customer. The customer is a broad concept, because it includes both the consumer who eats the products and the retailer who sells the products.

Together for a better climate
With the changing climate, it is becoming increasingly important for companies to engage in sustainable business practices. At Jansen-Dongen, we are well aware of this and we are taking more and more measures to ensure that we operate in a responsible manner. We do this by, among other things, working on innovative packaging methods. For example our natural labelling of products and the use of biodegradable plastic, so we are prepared for a sustainable future where no conventional plastic needs to be used. Working together with other sustainable companies is also very important to us.

In recent years we have also been able to develop our company enormously, which has made us grow to where we are today.

  • 1970s: Founded (during growth of supermarkets).
  • 1980s: Started with premium product, washed potatoes for the Dutch market.
  • Years ’80 – present: Various innovations in assortment and varieties.
  • 1990s: Started with own cultivation.
  • Years ’90 – present: Various innovations in the field of packaging.
  • Years ’10: Founding of BioFreshi and later BioFreshi Produce.
  • Years ’10: Founding of Ice Coooled Carrots and construction and installation of a unique carrot line.
  • Present and future: Automation, robotization, even more environmental awareness.
